Minnesota will face WCHA rival Wisconsin. Minnesota got a power-play goal from Nicole Schammel in the second period and an empty-netter from Sarah Potomak to advance to the national championship game. Wisconsin broke open a close game in the third period on a goal by Annie Pankowski and cruised to a win.
Norwich jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held on for a 4-2 win, staving off a desperate Geneseo rally and getting an empty-net goal by Dave Robertson with 28. 6 seconds left to seal the win. The Cadets await the winner of Wisconsin-Stevens Point-Hobart.

Candace and Nicole review the results of the conference tournaments, preview the NCAA quarterfinals, discuss the concept of parity and why many of the same teams are back in the NCAA tournament, and also look at possible contenders for the All-USCHO rookie team.
Boston College, Clarkson, Cornell, Minnesota, Northeastern, and Wisconsin all advanced in their respective tournaments.
The tournament semis and finals present must-see games. Robert Morris battles Syracuse for the CHA title and NCAA tournament bid. Boston College takes on rival Boston University. Ohio State looks to deny Wisconsin once more. Colgate looks to go three-for-three on the year against Clarkson, which beat the Raiders in the NCAA tournament championship last season. Third-ranked St. Norbert and sixth-ranked Augsburg know each other well. For the fourth consecutive season, the two teams are meeting in the NCAA tournament. Candace and Nicole review the results from the first weekend of playoff action, one where all the higher-seeded teams advanced, look at potential upsets, such as Ohio State beating Wisconsin or Minnesota Duluth beating Minnesota, delve into the volatility of Hockey East, and look at how the final three nominees for the Patty Kazmaier Award did in the first weekend of postseason action.
One surprise happened when Wisconsin-Eau Claire rolled over Wisconsin-River Falls, and Williams beat Middlebury for the third this season to claim the NESCAC. The NCAA tournament field is now set.
Wisconsin rolled over St. Cloud State, Cornell defeated Rensselaer in OT, and Colgate fell to Harvard.
Three conferences start their playoff tournaments this weekend, while the CHA wraps up its regular season. In the playoffs, Candace and Nicole think their might be some third games, but expect the favorites to likely advance.
