Commissioner Michelle Morgan has received a four-year contract extension to continue leading Atlantic Hockey America through the 2029-30 season, the conference announced today.
“I’m proud of the progress we have made: bringing two leagues together, establishing a new brand and creating greater operational efficiencies that position AHA for continued growth,” Morgan said in a statement. “I’m energized by the opportunities ahead and remain committed to elevating the league and delivering greater value and opportunity for our schools, student-athletes, coaches and partners.”
Morgan joined the conference in 2023 and is entering her fourth year as commissioner in 2026-27. She oversaw the merger of the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America and the establishment of the new Atlantic Hockey America brand.
“(Morgan’s) steady leadership has positioned the conference to quickly adapt to the tremendous changes taking place across college athletics while, at the same time, providing a clear vision for where the conference needs to go in the future,” said Jason A. Coomer, chair of the AHA executive committee, in a statement. “She has done an outstanding job strengthening the AHA brand and, importantly, bringing the men’s and women’s programs together under one unified conference identity.”
