LAS VEGAS — Five numbers to know from Thursday’s 2-1 win by Wisconsin over North Dakota in the national semifinal.

With today’s win, Wisconsin is now 17-6 all-time in Frozen Four play, the best of any program here in Vegas. That’s .739 if you do the math.

While they like to say “correlation is not causation,” North Dakota only won twice this season when trailing into the third and was 2-6-1 overall. Wisconsin is now 18-3-0 when leading at the second intermission.

This was Wisconsin’s fifth win over a No. 2 or higher team this season. The Badgers also downed then-No. 2 Michigan twice, and then-No. 1 Michigan State twice.

Daniel Hauser tied the Wisconsin record for wins by a freshman at 21 in the win. He shares it with Curtis Joseph (1988-89) and Dean Anderson (1984-85).

Despite averaging 23.5 shots on goal against this season, North Dakota tied its season high of 37 against the Badgers on Thursday. The Fighting Hawks won a 4-2 game at St. Cloud on Dec. 6, 2025 despite allowing the same total.
