Hosts Jim Connelly and Ed Trefzger look back at the first weekend of the 2019-20 season, which had a light schedule of regulation games. Significant were a split by Mercyhurst with then-No. 20 Arizona State, good weekends for Atlantic Hockey and Hockey East out of conference, a tough performance by Alaska despite a sweep by No. 2 Denver, and then-No. 17 Bowling Green’s win against former coach Chris Bergeron at Miami.
