Clarkson loses Rempal two years early as Los Angeles signs free agent

The Los Angeles Kings announced Friday that the club has signed Clarkson sophomore forward Sheldon Rempal to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Undrafted, Rempal will forgo his junior and senior seasons with the Golden Knights.

He appeared in 39 games this past season with Clarkson, posting 46 points (23 goals, 23 assists), a plus-19 rating and 34 penalty minutes. He ranked tied for ninth in the nation in goals, tied for 12th in points and tied for second in game-winning goals with five..

Rempal finishes with 69 points (34 goals, 35 assists) in 78 career games with Clarkson.
