Ohio State 4, Michigan State 2

With two goals from Dakota Joshua and a 25-save performance from Sean Romeo, Ohio State outlasted Michigan State, 4-2.

The Buckeyes led 2-0 after the first period with goals from Ronnie Hein and Freddy Gerard. Hein scored his third goal of the season at 5:04 in the first, the first of three Ohio State power-play goals in the game. Gerard scored just a little over two minutes later.

Logan Lambdin had the only goal of the second period at 11:39 to cut Ohio State’s lead in half, but Joshua’s first goal of the night on the power play at 6:49 in the third put the Buckeyes up 3-1. At 12:21, Zach Osburn again cut the Ohio State lead to one with a power-play goal assisted by Lambdin. Joshua found the net for the second time at 19:19 with an empty-net power-play marker. In net for Michigan State, John Lethemon had 17 saves.
