Three things we learned: Jan. 14

1. Northern Michigan is the biggest threat to Minnesota State. The Wildcats swept Bowling Green and have a relatively easy schedule the rest of the way. If the Mavericks falter, the Wildcats could be poised to strike.

2. It was a weekend of splits. While Northern Michigan had a sweep, the rest of the league stayed in the same position with teams splitting the head-to-head series.

3. Bemidji State showed some character in a game two of a non-confernece series with North Dakota. After a disappointing 5-0 loss on Friday, the Beavers came back from a pair of deficits and forced a 2-2 tie.
