What I Believe – Thursday Night Edition

The ramifications of Ohio State and Penn State’s wins on Thursday night:

– Michigan and Michigan State being eliminated from a possible bid

– Air Force can now no longer be an at-large team and Atlantic Hockey will only get one team into the tournament.

Let’s summarize after Thursday’s games.

In:

Atlantic Hockey – Winner of the Tournament

Big 10 – Minnesota

ECAC – Harvard, Union

Hockey East – Lowell, BU

NCHC – Denver, UMD, Western Michigan

WCHA – Winner of Bowling Green/Michigan Tech

That makes ten teams in, leaving six spots left.

There are nine teams for those six spots

Big 10 – Wisconsin, Ohio State, Penn State

ECAC – Cornell, Quinnipiac

Hockey East – BC, Notre Dame, Providence

NCHC – North Dakota

Teams that need to win its Championship in order to get in (two, aside from Atlantic Hockey and WCHA):
