Last week was a disaster for my picks. I called the Manhattanville split with Elmira, but the games were reversed. Oops, failed on those picks.
At least I got Utica’s win over Hobart Saturday, but missed Friday’s contest to make the worst week of picks all season long.
Let’s see if I can redeem myself this week with another difficult set of weekend series.

Hobart at Neumann
For the second week in a row, Hobart is facing the team directly above it in the standings, but this time its opponent is rested. Both teams are coming off of weekends where they were swept. Neumann lost a pair of games at Manhattanville two weeks ago and the Statesmen were swept last weekend by Utica. The Knights are scoring nearly a goal a game more than Hobart, but the Statesmen’s defense is the better of the two. Neumann sweeps the weekend.
Manhattanville vs. Utica (home-and-home)
Utica and Manhattanville are trying to chase down Elmira while the Soaring Eagles sit idle this weekend. Utica played two steady games against Hobart last weekend while Manhattanville split with Elmira. The Pioneers’ stats are a bit better than Manhattanville’s, so I think a split this weekend for the home team is in order. Utica wins on Friday and Manhattanville takes it on Saturday.
