Notes and records from the Championship Game

BU goaltender John Curry was a walking record book after Monday night’s game. His .985 save percentage was the all-time best in Beanpot history and earned him the Eberly Award as the goaltender who plays both games of the tournament and posts the highest save percentage. Curry allowed just one goal on 65 shots.

He finishes his Beanpot career, 5-0, and walks away with a record .958 career save percentage. The previous record holder was BU goaltender Michel Larocque, who finished with a .950 career save percentage.

Up until Monday’s final, BU had never beaten BC in an overtime championship game. BC had twice beaten the Terriers (1957, 2004) in overtime in the title tilt.

Jack Parker has now won 20 Beanpots as a coach in addition to the three he won as a player.

BU now has won 28 Beanpots, more than all of the three other teams combined (27).
