Former winners Watts, Giguère named finalists for 2021 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award as top NCAA women’s hockey player

The USA Hockey Foundation on Thursday announced the 10 finalists for the 2021 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award.

The honor, which began in 1998, is presented annually to the top player in NCAA Division I women’s hockey.

Watch list announced for new women’s college hockey award includes 21 standout goaltenders

The Women’s Hockey Commissioners Association has announced the creation of a new award to recognize the top female goalie in NCAA Division I hockey, the Women’s Hockey Goalie of the Year Award.

The conference offices have come up with an initial watch list of 21 outstanding goalies.

After botched shootout, WCHA awards 1.5 standings points each to Bemidji State, St. Cloud State women’s teams

The WCHA has vacated the shootout result from the Jan. 16 game between Bemidji State and St. Cloud State due to an incorrect application of the shootout rules by game officials.
