Cale Morris made 44 saves in earning the shutout as Notre Dame remained undefeated in Big Ten play at 5-0 and improved its nation-best winning streak to eight games, defeating Minnesota, 1-0. Andrew Oglevie scored the only goal of the game early in the second on a power play when he came down the slot and fired a wrist shot that deflected off someone up in front and bounced in the air and behind Minnesota goalie Eric Schierhorn at 1:43. Schierhorn made 22 saves in the loss.
Minnesota was relentless, forcing Morris to make 17 saves in the first period and 15 more in the third. The Gophers had a late power play attempt and rang one shot off the right post, and also forced Morris to make a fantastic glove save off a shot by Rem Pitlick to preserve the win.
Minnesota had one last chance with a faceoff late, but Oglevie made clever use of his stick to intercept the pass between the two defenseman and knock it out into the neutral zone. Oglevie then raced in and eventually shot the puck into the empty net, but it was ruled that time expired before the shot went in, so the game ended 1-0 for Notre Dame, which improved to 11-3-1 on the season.

Brian Wilson made 27 saves and Ben Sokay’s goal at 11:49 of the first got Niagara started as the Purple Eagles defeated AIC, 3-1. Eric Cooley assisted on Derian Plouffe’s game-winner at 8:57 of the third period, and Cooley added an empty-netter at 19:22 to seal the win for Niagara, which improved to 7-4-1 overall and 6-1-1 in Atlantic Hockey.
Canisius 4, at Army 3 (OT)
Nick Hutchison’s goal at 1:33 of overtime lifted Canisius to a 4-3 win over Army. Canisius took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission on goals by Alex Jaeckle and Dylan McLaughlin. Trevor Fidler tied it for Army at 5:22 of the second, and after Jack Stander gave Canisius a 3-2 lead, Tyler Pham tied it a 15:37 of the second. Cole Burns made 30 saves in the loss, including 12 in the scoreless third period, while Daniel Urbani made 36 saves in the win, including 19 in the first period.
Bentley 3, Robert Morris 1
Two power-play goals in the first period from Connor Brassard at 7:08 and Drew Callin at 17:38 gave Bentley a lead it would not relinquish en route to a 3-1 win over Robert MOrris. Matt Riggleman also scored for the Falcons at 3:54 of the third. Michael Louria spoiled Aidan Pelino’s shutout bid at 5:42 of the third, but Pelino made 31 saves in the win.

Freddy Gerard’s goal at 8:32 of the third period, his second of the game, proved the game-winner as Ohio State edged Michigan, 3-2. Michigan opened the scoring on a goal by Sam Piazza at 11:18 of the first, but OSU took the lead on goals by Gerard at 1:00 of the second and John Wiitala at 7:24 of the second. Josh Norris got one back for Michigan at 19:44 of the third. Sean Romeo made 31 saves in the win as OSU improved to 7-3-3 on the year.
Penn State 7, Michigan State 2
Sam Sternschein scored two goals 2:51 apart at the end of the first and beginning of the second to break open the game as Penn State routed Michigan State, 7-2. Kris Myllari and Andrew Sturtz each notched a goal and assist, while Chase Berger had three assists and Kevin Kerr had two assists. Laim Folkes scored at 8:24 of the first to make it 3-1 Penn State, and also scored at 14:35 of the second. Peyton Jones made 27 stops in the win as Penn State improved to 8-7 on the year.

Liam MacDougall got the Bulldogs started on a rally from a two-goal deficit, and Mitch Maloney broke the 3-2 game open with a goal just 36 seconds into the third, and added another at 7:15 of the third, and completed his natural hat trick at 12:34 of the third. Jasen Fernsler had a goal and three assists, and Maloney assisted on Corey Mackin’s game-winner at 17:25 of the second. Darren Smith made 30 saves in the win.

Sebastian Vidmar’s power-play tally at 14:16 of the first stood up as the game-winner as Union upset No. 3 North Dakota, 4-1. Union got on the board at 10:03 when Brandon Estes fired a snap shot from the right point off a turnover in the defensive zone and Ryan Walked deflected it from in front. Vidmar’s tally came off a rebound when Peter Thome came out of the next to try to clear the puck and sent it up the boards, where it was intercepted by Brett Supinski at the right point. Supinski one-timed it on net, and Vidmar picked up the rebound and backhanded it into the open net before Thome could get back. North Dakota pulled it back to within one when Christian Wolanin scored at 3:27 of the third, picking up a rebound in the right circle and snapping it in, but Union answered just 52 seconds later when Vas Kalias was sprung on a breakaway and beat Thome top corner glove side. Brendan Taylor scored an empty-netter at 18:53 to seal the win, diving for the puck as he was falling to the ice and sticking it in. Jake Kupsky made 37 saves in the win.
No. 11 Western Michigan 5, No. 18 Colgate 3
Western Michigan continues to dominate at home and defeated Colgate, 5-3. Colgate scored first, and took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission after Paul McAvoy scored at 9:05 of the first. However, Wade Allison tied it just 53 seconds into the second, rifling a snap shot from the top of the right circle on a two-on-one after a neutral zone turnover by Colgate. Western took the lead at 7:42 of the second when Aidan Muir got the puck on the left side boards and made a nifty spin move to evade two Colgate players, then passed through the slot to Josh Passolt, who had an open net to shoot into. Colgate tied it at 17:59 of the second on a power-play goal by Adam Dauda, but Lawton Cournall gave Western a 4-3 lead into the second when he picked up a rebound of an Ethan Frank shot with 20 seconds left and scored into an open net from the left side of the slot. Dawson DiPietro scored with four minutes left in the game for the final margin. Ben Blacker made 22 saves in the win, while Colton Point stopped 37 in the loss.
No. 14 Boston College 4, Harvard 4
BC goalie Joseph Woll made 28 saves, but couldn’t stop one from Harvard’s Jack Badini at 17:18 of the third period that gave the Crimson a 4-4 tie with Boston College. The Eagles took a 3-2 lead into the third period after goals from Julius Mattila and David Cotton in the second, but Harvard’s Ben Solin tied it with a power-play strike at 4:11 of the third. Mattila scores his second of the game at 14:25 of the third to put BC back up before Badini tied it. Harvard got a short-handed tally from Michael Floodstrand at 7:51 of the second to take a 2-1 lead before Mattila’s first goal. Cotton had a hand in all of BC’s scoring with three assists and a goal on the night.
Miami 6, at Bowling Green 3
Miami broke a 3-3 tie with two goals from Grant Huitton 37 seconds apart at the end of the second en route to a 6-3 win on the road. Josh Melnick’s goal at 2:59 of the second made it 3-1 Miami, but Bowling Green rallied behind goals from Brett D’Andrea and Tyler Spezia to tie it. Hutton’s first goal came at 18:25 on a power play, and he made it 5-3 at 19:02. Carson Meyer scored an empty-net power-play goal at 19:43 of the third to seal the win. Ryan Larkin made 11 saves in the win, while Eric Dop made 12 in the first two periods before being pulled for Ryan Bedhard in the third, who made nine saves for Bowling Green.
Omaha 4, Northern Michigan 3
Omaha got goals from Tyler Vesel, Zach Jordan, and Luke Nogard in the second period to rally from a 2-1 deficit to Northern Michigan en route to a 4-3 win. Zach Diamontoni scored at 15:51 of the third to pull the Wildcats within one. Northern Michigan had a power play for the last two minutes of the game, and pulled the goalie for a a six-on-four, but the Omaha penalty kill came up big and Evan Weninger made a huge stop on a point-blank chance with 16 seconds left in the game. Weninger made 27 saves as Omaha broke its three-game losing streak.
Princeton 4, Bemidji State 1
Jay Dickman gave the Beavers the lead just 17 seconds into the game, but from there it was all Tigers. Ryan Kuffner scored on a power play at 16:51 of the second, and Alex Riche scored the game-winner 1:39 later. Princeton got two more goals in the third. Ryan Ferland made 26 saves in the win. Princeton improved to 4-4-1 on the year.
Massachusetts 2, at Quinnipiac 1
Mario Ferraro’s goal just 4:02 into the second broke a 1-1 tie and stood up as the game-winner as Massachusetts defeated Quinnipiac, 2-1. UMass took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission on a strike from Mitchell Chaffee, while Quinnipiac tied it at 1:51 of the second on a goal from John Furfele. Ryan Wischow made 32 saves in the win, which improved Massachusetts to 6-6 on the year.
Arizona State 3, at Holy Cross 1
Tyler Busch scored two goals in the third period, one at 1:56 and one at 3:17, as Arizona State rallied from an early one-goal deficit to defeat Holy Cross, 3-1. Jacob Wilson had two assists for ASU, and Joey Daccord made 30 saves in the win.
