TRENTON, N.J. — Ray Pigozzi scored 2:14 into overtime to give Massachusetts a 5-4 victory over Maine on Friday in the semifinals of the Capital City Classic.

At 4-0-1, the Minutemen are unbeaten through five games for the first time in the team’s 23-season Division I history.

Dennis Kravchenko scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season for UMass, which got 33 saves from Nic Renyard.

Will Merchant scored twice for Maine (0-3-3), which rallied from a 4-2 deficit in the third period to force overtime.

Rob McGovern stopped 32 shots for the Black Bears.
