You can’t blame the Varsity Blues of Toronto if they don’t put Boston high on their list of favorite places to visit. In less than 24 hours, Boston University (9) and Boston College (8) combined to score 17 goals on the Blues while only allowing three.

Sunday, the Eagles posted an 8-0 victory at Conte Forum, with two pairs of brothers leading the scoring.

Joe and Steven Whitney combined for two goals and four assists, while Jimmy and Kevin Hayes added two goals and two assists.

Among the four freshmen making their Eagles debut was Patrick Brown, son of former Eagles player Doug Brown and nephew of assistant coach Greg Brown. Freshman Isaac MacLeod joined Kevin Hayes on the scoresheet with an assist.

The shutout was shared by all three Boston College goaltenders: John Muse had two saves in the first period; Parker Milner made five saves in the second and Chris Venti finished the game with six saves.
