Nebraska-Omaha senior Allan Carr, with the team from its infancy in Division I, has been forced to retire after suffering his third concussion this season. Carr made the announcement to his teammates at practice on Wednesday.

Jason Nightingale, the No. 2 scorer for Lake Superior State so far this year, will miss the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with an unspecified heart condition. Nightingale, who has nine goals and 15 points, joins a lengthy list of sidelined Lakers.
Mike Sertich, the former Minnesota-Duluth coach who took over the Michigan Tech program on an interim basis in November, has been named the permanant replacement.
