This Week in Atlantic Hockey: RIT enduring ’emotional roller coaster’ as 2020-21 season moves forward, but ‘grateful to be playing’

Rochester Institute of Technology has had seven of its scheduled 17 games postposed so far this season, about average for teams in Atlantic Hockey.

The Tigers, who came close to not having a season at all, have had zero players and staff test positive for the coronavirus so far.

Hockey East ditches season schedules, will instead plan rest of 2020-21 men’s, women’s seasons on weekly basis

In a decision aimed at allowing the maximum amount of games to be scheduled for each member school, Hockey East announced Tuesday that previously released composite schedules for both the men’s and women’s teams will be set aside and the remainder of the 2020-21 season will continue to be scheduled on a weekly basis.

Due to NCHC COVID-19 protocols, Western Michigan-Minnesota Duluth series delayed one day to Jan. 23-24

Due to COVID-19 contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Minnesota Duluth hockey program, the Western Michigan at Minnesota Duluth series scheduled for this Friday and Saturday, Jan. 22-23, has been delayed one day and will now take place Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 23-24 at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth.
