Due to increase in positive COVID-19 cases, UMass pauses all athletics for 14-day minimum

Due to the continuing surge in COVID-19 cases at UMass revealed at the campus’s symptomatic and asymptomatic testing sites, the operational posture of the campus has been raised to “high risk,” Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy announced in a letter to the UMass community on Sunday.

Watch list announced for new women’s college hockey award includes 21 standout goaltenders

The Women’s Hockey Commissioners Association has announced the creation of a new award to recognize the top female goalie in NCAA Division I hockey, the Women’s Hockey Goalie of the Year Award.

The conference offices have come up with an initial watch list of 21 outstanding goalies.
