Mercyhurst, which won the Atlantic Hockey regular-season championship in 2013-14, has been picked to once again finish atop the standings after the conference released the results of the preseason coaches’ poll on Wednesday. The Lakers took home six first-place votes in the balloting.
Mercyhurst has named Greg Gardner an assistant coach with the Lakers’ men’s team for the 2014-15 season.
