The Atlantic Hockey preseason coaches’ poll was released Tuesday and defending tournament champion Air Force has been chosen as the top team for the 2017-18 season.

The Erie Sports Commission and Mercyhurst have been chosen to host the 2018 Ice Breaker Tournament. The event will be hosted at Erie Insurance Arena Oct. 12-13, 2018, and will be the first time an Atlantic Hockey school has played host to the tournament. RIT earned eight first-place votes in the annual preseason Atlantic Hockey preseason coaches poll and is looked at as the team to beat this season in the conference. Air Force (two) and Holy Cross (one) also earned first-place votes.
Following Atlantic Hockey’s annual directors meeting, the league has announced that the scholarship limit will once again increase in the conference.
