According to the Hartford Courant, Connecticut junior defenseman Tyler Cooke has left the team. Cooke played three games this season and did not record a point. In his first two seasons at UConn, he skated in 73 games with two goals and 12 assists for 14 points.
Colgate junior forward Mike Borkowski is done for the season after suffering a knee injury against Quinnipiac last Friday. Boston College announced Tuesday that senior goaltender Brian Billett has taken a personal leave of absence from the team and added sophomore goalie Alex Joyce to the roster. According to a BC news release, Billett’s leave of absence “does not stem from any violation of team rules or policies.”
ECAC Hockey announced on Tuesday that Brown junior forward Nick Lappin has been handed a two-game suspension as the result of his actions against Clarkson on Saturday, Nov. 8, at Meehan Auditorium. The University of Alaska-Fairbanks received notice Wednesday from the NCAA of a series of penalties from a series of eligibility infractions spanning the 2007-2008 through 2011-2012 academic years.
