Former Boston College defenseman Wey retires because of concussions
Former Boston College defenseman Patrick Wey has retired at age 24 because of concussion issues, The Patriot-News reported. Wey, who won national championships with the Eagles in 2010 and 2012, had his only two professional seasons cut short by head injuries.

Boston University freshman Jack Eichel is a unanimous selection for Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, First Team All-Star and an All-Rookie Team member. Boston University head coach David Quinn, who helped lead the Terriers to an 11-win turnaround from the 2013-14 regular season, was named the association’s Coach of the Year.
