Wisconsin tabs Hamre new hockey ops director

Wisconsin has tabbed John Hamre its new director of hockey operations. Hamre, who is expected to start on June 8, replaces video coordinator and director of hockey operations Zach Remiker, who is departing the program.

Shields back at Michigan as volunteer assistant coach

Former Michigan goaltender Steve Shields will join the Wolverines as a volunteer assistant coach. Shields played at the school from 1990 to 1994 and became the first NCAA goalie to reach 100 career wins (111), a record surpassed by Marty Turco (125 wins), who also played at Michigan.

Penn State dismisses freshman Conway for breaking team rules
