Matthew Knies scored a first-period goal and Justen Close made 24 saves for a shutout to get the Gophers to Boston.
The Wolverines are into their 26th Frozen Four despite nearly losing a four-goal lead in the third period against the Bobcats.

The Gophers are going to the Frozen Four for the first time since 2014 after getting 24 saves from Justen Close in beating the Broncos.
