Robert Morris chosen as Atlantic Hockey favorite for ’15-16 season

With nine first-place votes, Robert Morris finished atop the preseason Atlantic Hockey media poll going into the 2015-16 season. Rochester Institute of Technology, Bentley and Canisius also garnered one first-place nod apiece. In addition, the media also chose an Atlantic Hockey preseason all-star team.

Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to host doubleheader on Nov. 1

RIT’s Garbowsky collects Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year laurels

Atlantic Hockey unveiled its year-end award winners Thursday night and also named three All-Conference teams and the Gladiator Custom Mouthguards All-Rookie Team. Army tabs Mahoney-Wilson volunteer goalie coach

Army has named Brian Mahoney-Wilson the Black Knights’ full-time volunteer goalie coach. The former Lake Superior State standout and San Jose draft pick comes to West Point after spending last season as the goalie coach for the South Shore Kings premier, elite and U18 teams in the United States Premier Hockey League.

Army coach Riley to sit on D-I committee four more years

Army head coach Brian Riley has received a four-year extension to his term with the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Committee. The committee is responsible for the management of the NCAA championship, including team selection and operations, as well as future site selections for NCAA regionals and the Frozen Four.
