Air Force will take part in this weekend’s Kendall Hockey Classic in Anchorage, Alaska, after the host school worked out the Falcons’ travel accommodations during the government shutdown.
Sources indicated that the Black Knights would be able to make the trip to State College, Pa., despite a government shutdown that has put a number of personnel on furlough.
Keith Hackett has been named the new athletic director at Alaska-Anchorage. Hackett replaces Steve Cobb, who was fired in May. Alaska-Anchorage’s supplemental search committee for a new coach will meet to begin the application review process on Monday, May 20, the school announced Thursday. The public is invited to participate in an open forum session. Coaching finalists are expected to be announced by May 30.
