Former Boston College defenseman Wey retires because of concussions

Former Boston College defenseman Patrick Wey has retired at age 24 because of concussion issues, The Patriot-News reported. Wey, who won national championships with the Eagles in 2010 and 2012, had his only two professional seasons cut short by head injuries.

NCAA rules committee proposes relaxing rule covering contact with goaltender
