It hasn’t exactly been a highlight-reel season for Boston University thus far. For a team that began the year ranked No. 2 in the USCHO.com poll, the Terriers find themselves more than a third of the way through the season still below .500. But a ray of sunshine may have appeared at Agganis Arena last … Read more

HARTFORD, Conn. – It is certainly hyperbole to state that any hockey team nine games into its season, before you even turn the clocks back, might have that moment that can turn a season around. Then again, if you’re the Vermont Catamounts, maybe that’s not so much of an overstatement. One night after laying an … Read more

If you’re a fan of Providence, you’re likely pretty pleased with the team’s start. A 5-2-0 mark is more than decent considering the Friars’ competition through its first seven games. But there will also be skeptics that look at a three-game stretch – games against Boston College, St. Lawrence and Clarkson – where the Friars … Read more
After a 4-0 road loss at Clarkson that capped off a weekend where Providence allowed 9 goals to the opposition, the Friars might have had some concerns about their overall defense. Those concern should be eased for now after a banner weekend. That leads the three things I learned this weekend. 1. Friars sweep was … Read more

It was a night where little things meant a lot. For Denver, those little things became big, as did the score as the No. 1 Pioneers routed No. 19 Boston College, 6-1, at Kelley Rink. The River Hawks began the season ranked fifth in … Read more
