Niagara’s Zanette gets Atlantic Hockey player of the year nod

Niagara senior forward Paul Zanette was named Atlantic Hockey player of the year at the league’s annual awards banquet Thursday. The Nobleton, Ontario, native had 55 points overall (29 goals, 26 assists) including 43 points in conference play, tops in the league. Weekend wrap-up 3/14/11

Unlike the first round of the Atlantic Hockey playoffs where the road teams came out on top, last weekend’s quarterfinal series all went to the home teams. Four-goal second period carries RIT past American International

Rochester Institute of Technology scored four goals in the second period to erase a 1-0 deficit and defeat American International 5-1 on Saturday. RIT swept the two-game series to advance to the Atlantic Hockey semifinals on Friday.
