Well, Nicole and I both did OK in our first week, and I did get out to a one-game lead in our season picks race. Overall, I went 12-4-3 (.710) and Nicole went 11-5-3 (.657). Holy Cross announced Tuesday that it would join Hockey East for the 2018-19 season, the culmination of a process that started a year ago. Next season, the Crusaders will play a mixed schedule that will include teams from Hockey East, the ECAC, and the CHA. There is some speculation as well about whether the men’s team will follow.

The Denver Pioneers had a celebration of their successful national championship run in Chicago on Tuesday in front of a good-sized crowd at Magness Arena.
