Wednesday Women: Second season begins

The playoffs are beginning this weekend in three of the four conferences. Nicole and Candace debate how the first rounds might play out, look at the most likely upsets, and prognosticate on the longer term outlooks for the NCAA tournament. They also ponder tonight’s gold medal game between Team USA and Team Canada.

Women’s D-I wrap: Time for the second season

Three of the conferences have finished play on the year. Wisconsin closed its campaign with a sweep of rival Minnesota, winning all four games this season against the Gophers for the first time ever. Colgate and Clarkson share the regular season crown in the ECAC, as both swept this weekend. The Golden Knights will have the top seed for the ECAC tournament. Boston College finished with a sweep of Maine.
