Dr. Ron Moses is the new athletic director at Robert Morris following a national search, the school announced on Friday.
Moses joins RMU after serving as deputy athletic director at Old Dominion (Va.).
“Robert Morris University is a place where excellence and opportunity meet,” said Moses via statement. “(My) commitment is clear: we will build a program where student-athletes graduate, compete for championships, and represent RMU with pride. We want RMU Athletics to be a rallying point for our campus, our alumni (and) the entire Pittsburgh region.”
Moses currently serves as Vice Chair of the NCAA Division I Committee on Academics and previously served as president of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A). Before ODU, he held academic and administrative roles at Missouri, Georgia State, South Florida and Kansas State.

In 2025-26, the Robert Morris men’s hockey team went 16-21-3 under coach Derek Schooley and advanced to the Atlantic Hockey America tournament semifinals, where they lost to Sacred Heart 2-1 in a best-of-three series. The Colonials’ women’s program was 13-21-2.
