While there is some degree of clarity in a very few conferences, there is potential chaos brewing everywhere else. Nothing is yet guaranteed up and down the conference leaderboards so games are meaningful and points, valuable across the country. Full effort and focus required now more than ever as the number of games continues to dwindle in the regular season.

Here are the GOTW selections in games that matter just about everywhere this weekend:

Thursday, February 12, 2026 – Sunday, February 15, 2026

CNE

(7) University of New England v. Wentworth

The Nor’easters have surged to the top of the standings but by the thinnest of margins. Wentworth would love to post an upset on home ice and keep the visitors in check most of the way but note enough as Murphy and Olivieri factor into a one -goal win – UNE, 3-2

Little East

Massachusetts-Dartmouth v. Babson

The Beavers have been road warriors all season and now face a very gritty Corsairs squad on home ice. Tyler Stewart is worth the price of admission for UMD but the home team has “The Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon and Evan Brown. Too much balance for Team Green – Babson, 3-2

MAC

Wilkes v. Alvernia

Neumann and Stevenson are battling at the top but lurking closely behind are the Golden Wolves and Colonels, so this game has some point value to the winner staying in touch with the league leaders. It’s a one-goal game all the way until an ENG gives some breathing room at the end for the home team –        Alvernia, 4-2

MASCAC

Salem State v. Fitchburg State

The Falcons have been rolling and scoring in bunches with Hunter Dunn and Devin Niles on fire of late but look to rebound after be shutout by Worcester State. The Vikings may be finding their game at the right time of the season and could send a strong message to the rest of MASCAC that they are still contenders come playoff time. Third period decides all for the home team in a playoff style contest – Fitchburg State, 5-3

MIAC

St. Mary’s v. St. Olaf

In the “first place of the week club” conference known as the MIAC all bets are off when picking matchups come February and into March. Figure this one to be low-scoring and picking the home team in overtime because, well, that is what they do – St. Olaf, 2-1

NCHA

(4) Adrian v. (13) Trine

The Bulldogs have created some space atop the NCHA but the Thunder are out to, pardon the pun, make some noise. Home team is very good in their barn and a fast start in a physical contest gives Trine a much-needed statement win – Trine, 6-3

NESCAC

Colby v. Trinity

The Bantams are in desperation mode looking for rhyme and reason to their tumultuous season. Playoffs are still possible, but they need regulation wins and points to start catching teams in front of them. Big weekend series against the Maine teams and a gritty win over the Mules with Devon bobak returning to the crease – Trinity, 3-2

NE-10

St. Anselm v. Assumption

The Hawks found some offense last weekend against Franklin Pierce and are going to need more of that to compete with the high-octane group the Greyhound put on the ice. Jonathan Surrette is POTY worthy and shows why in a fun to watch goal-fest – Assumption, 5-4

SUNYAC

(1) Hobart v. Cortland

The Red Dragons are sitting in third spot in SUNYAC and look to do what no one has been able to do this season, beat Hobart. Need to score more than one goal to do that and the Statesmen aren’t in a giving mood as clinching the regular season title is within reach – Hobart, 5-1

UCHC

(14) Geneseo v. (8) Utica

The Pioneers have run the table in conference play so far and moved to the top of the standings comfortably over Geneseo. The Knights need a weekend sweep if they have any hope of capturing the regular season title and that is not going to happen in the Pioneers arena. Frank Murphy makes a difference in a one-goal win for coach Heenan’s troops – Utica, 4-3

WIAC

Wisconsin – Eau Claire v. (15) Wisconsin – Stout

The Blugolds currently hold the top spot but face a determined Blue Devils squad who is worthy of garnering that position. Some road wins are just bigger than others and this come-from-behind, third period into overtime thriller is exactly that for the visitors – UWEC, 4-3
