
Colorado College has announced the addition of defenseman Mats Lindgren to the 2025-26 roster, effective immediately.
Lindgren, from North Vancouver, B.C., most recently played during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 21 points seven goals, 14 assists) in 56 games for the ECHL’s Wheeling Nailers and appearing in seven games for the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
“We are excited to add Mats to our program,” Tigers coach Kris Mayotte said in a statement. “We are adding a very good player and teammate. He is a strong skater with a history of offensive production. I know Mats is eager to get started and we are ready to get him up to speed as quickly as possible.”
Lindgren also played five seasons in the WHL between the Kamloops Blazers and Red Deer Rebels, collecting 129 points (24 goals, 105 assists) in 220 games.
A fourth-round pick (106th overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2022 NHL Draft, Lindgren helped the Blazers to the WHL conference finals in 2021-22 and served as an alternate captain for Red Deer in 2024-25.
Lindgren joins Bemidji State’s Connor McClennon and Hudson Thornton and Quinnipiac’s Graham Sward as current NCAA Division I men’s hockey players with ECHL and AHL experience.
