Michigan stays No. 1 in USCHO.com Division I Men’s Hockey Poll, gets 26 first-place votes in Dec. 8 rankings

Michigan is again the top team in the USCHO.com Division I Men’s Hockey Poll, picking up 26 first-place votes this week.

Wisconsin remains No. 2, getting 22 first-place votes, while Michigan State hangs tight at No. 3 with two first-place votes.

North Dakota is No. 4 this week, swapping places with Minnesota Duluth, while Denver is still No. 6, Western Michigan retains the seventh spot, Dartmouth is up two to No. 8, getting the final first-place vote, Penn State is again No. 9, and Quinnipiac drops two places to sit eighth in this week’s poll.

Previously unranked Harvard enters the poll this week at No. 18.

In addition to the top 20 teams, 12 other teams received votes in this week’s rankings.

The USCHO.com Division I Men’s Hockey Poll is compiled weekly and consists of 50 voters, including coaches and media professionals from across the country. Media outlets may republish this poll as long as USCHO.com is credited.
