The men’s Hockey Commissioners Association has announced forward, goaltender, defender and rookie of the month for November.
ECAC Hockey leads the way with both the top goalie and top rookie in this month’s selections.
Forward of the Month: Will Horcoff, SO F, Michigan
Horcoff led the NCAA with nine goals in nine games in a 9-4-13 month. Five of his goals were game winners for the nation’s No. 1 team. A first-round Penguins pick, he has 18 goals in 18 games.
Goalie of the Month: Emmett Croteau, JR G, Dartmouth
Croteau went 4-0 in Dartmouth’s perfect 8-0 month, sporting a 0.75 GAA and a .970 save percentage.
Defenders of the Month: Chris Hedden, SR D, Air Force; Evan Murr, JR D, Minnesota State; Eric Pohlkamp, JR D, Denver
Hedden and Murr led all NCAA blueliners in points with 11. Hedden went 5-6-11 in nine games for the Falcons while Murr was 3-8-11 in nine games as well. Pohlkamp’s 7-3-10 included the most goals by any defenseman and he did all of that in eight games.
Rookie of the Month: Ethan Wyttenbach, FR F, Quinnipiac
The Bobcats ended the month on a six-game win streak and Wyttenbach was a big part of that. He led NCAA rookies with 4-10-14 in eight games.
