Michigan holds onto the top spot in the latest USCHO men’s poll, holding firm at No. 1 with 42 first-place votes and a 15–3–0 record. The top of the ranking stays surprisingly calm overall: Wisconsin remains at No. 2 with four first-place votes, and Michigan State holds at No. 3 with three first-place nods, giving the Big Ten a very solid grip on the top three spots.

Right behind them, the NCHC and friends do a bit of shuffling. Minnesota Duluth inches up one spot to No. 4 and North Dakota follows the same path to No. 5, while Denver takes the biggest hit near the top, sliding from No. 4 to No. 6 after losing to Minnesota in overtime. Western Michigan stays locked in at No. 7, with Quinnipiac and Penn State steady at 8 and 9. The headline mover in the top 10 is Dartmouth: the Big Green jump three spots from 13 to No. 10, stay perfect at 8–0–0, and even pick up a first-place vote.

In the middle of the poll, it’s mostly minor course corrections. Maine and Northeastern each slip one spot to 11 and 12, Connecticut drops two to 14, while Minnesota State climbs to 13 and Boston University edges up to 18. Boston College, Providence, and Cornell all hold their ground at 15, 16, and 17, giving that band of the poll a “hurry up and impress us” feel heading into December.

The biggest fresh stories are at the bottom: Miami jumps into the rankings at No. 19 following their tournament win in Belfast, N.I., and Colorado College follows at No. 20, adding more depth to an already loaded NCHC picture.
