
Trialing 2-0 after one, Minnesota scored three in the second to inch ahead of No. 7 Penn State and hold on for the 3-2 win in front of a thrilled home crowd in 3M Arena at Mariucci Friday night.
Axel Begley, Brodie Ziemer and Mason Moe each scored for the Golden Gophers. Ziemer tied the score on the power play at 8:03 in the second, and Moe capitalized on John Mittelstadt’s rebound at 10:08 to make it a 3-2 game.

John Mittelstadt had the primary assists on the goals by Begley and Moe, with Javon Moore picking up the second helpers on each. Reese Laubach scored both of Penn State’s goals.
Shots were even at 29 each. Joshua Fleming made 26 saves for the Nittany Lions, and Nathan Airey stopped 27 in the win for Minnesota.

No. 7 Wisconsin 5, No. 1 Michigan State 4
With four goals in the second period, visiting No. 7 Wisconsin came from behind and stayed ahead, defeating No. 1 Michigan State in Munn Ice Arena, 5-4.
After Daniel Russell and Porter Malone put the Spartans ahead 2-0 after one, four different Badgers scored in the second en route to the road upset. Christian Fitzgerald scored on the power play at 1:08 and three minutes later, Blake Montgomery tied the game for Wisconsin.
Adam Pietila gave Wisconsin its first lead of the night at 11:19, but it was Tyson Dyck’s goal at 15:55 that was the eventual game-winner.

The score changed three times within the span of a minute in the middle of the third, with Owen West pulling the Spartans to within one at 9:34, Ryan Botterill making it 5-3 at 9:50 and Porter netting his second of the night at 10:24 to cap the scoring.
Eli Pulver made 35 saves on 39 shots for the win. Trey Augustine stopped 29 in the Michigan State net.

T.J. Hughes’ goal midway through the third period broke a 2-2 stalemate as Michigan rolled onto a 5-2 home win over Ohio State.

Hughes’ game-winning goal was the second of four unanswered in the Wolverines’ come-from-behind win. Trailing 2-1 midway through the second, Dakoda Rheaume-Mullen’s tying goal at 11:16 spelled the beginning of the end for the Buckeyes.
Jack Ivankovic picks up his 12th win of the season for Michigan, stopping 20-of-22. For the Buckeyes, Kristoffer Eberly made 40 saves on 44 shots.
No. 3 Denver 7, Arizona State 1
Samu Salminen led all Pioneers with a goal and three assists and Eric Pohlkamp had two goals in Denver’s 7-1 rout of Arizona State.
Salminen’s goal to make it 2-0 with 11 seconds remaining in the first period was the game-winner.

Kyle Chyzowski’s first career goal came on a penalty shot late in the third period, giving Denver a 6-1 lead.
Quentin Miller had 31 saves in the win. After surrendering the first four Denver goals, Samuel Urban was replaced in the Arizona State net by by Connor Hasley in the second period. Hasley stopped 10-of-13 shots he faced.
No. 4 Minnesota Duluth 4, Colorado College 2
Max Plante’s first career hat trick fueled Minnesota Duluth’s 4-2 road win over Colorado College in Ed Robson Arena.
Plante scored two of his three goals on the power play, the first tying the game 2-2 at 8:32 in the second and the second coming at 5:40 in the third. Plante hit the empty net for the hat trick in the final minute of the game.

No. 8 Western Michigan 7, Omaha 2
Western Michigan scored five goals in the second period and outshot Omaha 43-23 on the way to the Broncos’ eighth win of the season, on the road in Omaha’s Baxter Arena.
Several Broncos had two-point games, with Ty Henricks and Zaccharya Wisdom leading goal scorers with two apiece.

Chris Pelosi’s first career hat trick propelled Quinnipiac past Clarkson, 4-1, in M&T Bank Arena.
Pelosi’s second of the game on the power play at 16:38 in the first period was the game-winning marker.

Pelosi was the only Bobcat with a multipoint game. Markus Vidicek’s goal midway through the second put Quinnipiac up 3-0. Matthew Mayich had Clarkson’s only goal, and Pelosi capped the night with an empty-netter.
Quinnipiac’s Matej Marinov had 22 saves in the game and in net for Clarkson, Shane Soderwall stopped 30 as the Bobcats outshot the Golden Knights 34-23.
No. 15 Boston College 7, No. 10 Maine 3
James Hagens and Ryan Comny each scored twice for Boston College and Louka Cloutier made 35 saves in Boston College’s 7-3 win over visiting Maine.
It was Hagens’ second goal of the night at 3:32 in the third that put the Eagles ahead 4-2 and held up as the game-winning goal.

The Eagles, who never trailed in this one, had goals from five scorers. Comny added an assist for three points, and Teddy Stiga also had three points for BC with a goal and two helpers.
Albin Boija had 21 saves on 28 shots in net for the Black Bears.

Tyler Muszelik made 36 saves and four Huskies scored in Connecticut’s 4-1 road win over New Hampshire in the Whittemore Center.

Dylan Finley led all players with two points, both first assists on Northeastern’s first two goals of the night.
The Terriers outshot the Huskies 34-25. Quentin Sigurdson had 32 saves in the win. For Boston University, Mikhail Yegorov made 22 stops.

Alex Tracy turned away all 12 shots he faced for his ninth career shutout as Minnesota State downed Michigan Tech, 3-0, at home in the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.
Jack Smith’s power-play goal at 14:47 in the first period was the game-winner. Reid Morich and Alex Zetterberg also scored for the Mavericks, each notching his first goal of the season.
In net for Michigan Tech, Owen Bartoszkiewicz made 24 saves on 27 shots.
No. 19 Cornell 2, No. 20 Union 1
Charlie Major’s unassisted goal late in the second period put No. 19 Cornell ahead of No. 20 Union, 2-1.
The Garnet Chargers and Big Red exchanged power-play goals in the middle of the first period to make it 1-1 after one. Will Felicio put Union ahead 1-0 at 9:50 with assists to Tyler Dunbar and Ben Muthersbaugh. At 12:47 Xavier Veilleux tied the game for Cornell, assisted by Hoyt Stanley and Jonathan Castagna.
Alexis Cournoyer made 18 saves on 19 shots in the win. For Union, Cameron Korpi stopped 21-of-23.
