
No. 1 Western Michigan picked up its first win of the season, downing Ferris State 6-4 on Friday night at Ewigleben Ice Arena in Big Rapids, Mich.
The Broncos, who avenged a 3-2 loss Thursday night in Kalamazoo, Mich., had six different goal scorers — Zack Sharp, Zaccharya Wisdom, William Whitelaw, Zach Nehring, Sam Huck and Owen Michaels.

For Ferris State, Gavin Best scored twice, Josh Zary and Holden Doell added singles, and Noah Rupprecht and Martin Lundberg combined on a 38-save effort.

The Spartans earned a split with UNH after falling 4-3 Thursday night, winning 2-0 Friday night at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Mich.

Cole Eiserman scored two goals and Mikhail Yegorov made 24 saves in goal as Boston University topped Colgate 6-2 on home ice at Agganis Arena in Boston.
Ryder Ritchie, Cole Hutson, Jonathan Morello and Mick Frechette added goals for BU.

After Luka Sukovic and Tate Taylor staked Clarkson to a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes, Penn State rattled off five unanswered goals to taker a 5-2 win at Pegula Ice Arena in State College, Pa.

Ben Schoen popped a pair of goals for the Nittany Lions, while JJ Wiebusch, Charlie Cerrato and Dane Dowiak also scored to back Joshua Fleming’s 21 saves.
Clarkson goalie Shane Soderwall made 26 saves.
Air Force 1, No. 5 Denver 1 (Denver wins shootout)
Will Dawson scored late in the first period for Air Force and then Clarke Caswell scored late in the third period for Denver as the two teams skated to a 1-1 tie at Cadet Ice Arena in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Six different players scored for North Dakota — Dylan James, Cody Croal, Keaton Verhoeff, Cade Littler, Josh Zakreski and Mac Swanson – and Gibson Homer made 23 saves between the pipes as the Fighting Hawks knocked off St. Thomas 6-2 at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.

Ryan Conmy and Dean Letourneau scored for Boston College and Brodie Ziemer and Javon Moore for Minnesota as the two teams tied 2-2 at 3M Arena at Mariucci in Minneapolis, Minn.

At Mullett Arena in Tempe, Ariz., Alaska beat No. 8 Quinnipiac 2-1 and No. 15 Arizona State downed Notre Dame 5-3.
Michael Citara and Alexander Malinowski scored for Alaska and goalie Lassi Lehti put up 33 saves.
