The Ottawa Senators announced Wednesday that the club has signed Miami freshman forward Jonathan Gruden to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The contract will begin with the 2019-20 season.
Gruden led RedHawks rookies in scoring with 15 points (three goals, 12 assists) in 38 games during the 2018-19 season.
A native of Rochester Hills, Mich., Gruden was selected by the Senators with the team’s fourth-round pick (95th overall) of the 2018 NHL Draft.
