Big Ten suspends Penn State’s Barratt, Wisconsin volunteer coach Winchester one game for March 8 incidents

The Big Ten announced Saturday that Penn State sophomore forward Evan Barratt and Wisconsin volunteer assistant coach Brad Winchester have each been suspended for one game as a result of incidents that occurred in the game on March 8.

The action was taken by the conference after a review of an incident that occurred at the conclusion of the third period and resulted in Barratt receiving a major penalty for hitting from behind and a game misconduct and Winchester receiving a game misconduct for unsportsmanlike behavior.

Barratt is ineligible to play and Winchester is ineligible to coach in tonight’s game between Penn State and Wisconsin.
