WCHA suspends Bemidji State’s Miller for checking from behind penalty against Ferris State

The WCHA announced Monday a one-game suspension for Bemidji State sophomore forward Aaron Miller, effective for the Beavers’ next game.

The suspension is a result of Miller’s five-minute major penalty and game misconduct infraction for checking from behind, which occurred at the 8:22 mark of the second period in Bemidji State’s game on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Ferris State.

Upon review, the hit was delivered in a manner that warranted the suspension, according to a news release.

Bemidji State’s next scheduled game is Friday, Feb. 15, at home against Northern Michigan. Miller is eligible to return for the Beavers’ game Feb. 16 at home against NMU.
