The NCHC has issued a one-game suspension to Omaha freshman forward Tyler Weiss.
The suspension stems from an illegal hit from behind during the Mavericks’ game against North Dakota on Friday night, Jan. 18, at Baxter Arena in Omaha.
During last night’s game, Weiss was assessed a major penalty for checking from behind and given a game misconduct penalty at 18:43 of the third period.
Weiss will be required to serve the one-game suspension during Omaha’s series finale on Saturday, Jan. 19 against North Dakota in Omaha. He is eligible to return to the Mavericks for their series opener at Minnesota Duluth next Friday, Jan. 25.
