Penn State forward Evan Barratt and Harvard forward Adam Fox have been named Co-Players of the Month by the Hockey Commissioners Association for the month of November.
In addition, the HCA Rookie of the Month is Harvard’s Casey Dornbach and Union goaltender Darion Hanson earns HCA Goaltender of the Month honors.
Barratt led the nation with 10 goals in nine games during the month of November, including a hat trick against Michigan and a program-record seven-game goal streak from Nov. 2-23. The sophomore registered at least one point in all but one game throughout the month, with seven multi-point efforts. That included a school-record five straight multi-point games from Nov. 9-23. The sophomore added six assists to go along with his 10 goals for 16 points, which also topped the nation for the month.
Fox averaged nearly two points per game during the month of November, registering 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in the eight games the Crimson played. The junior notched at least one point in all eight games, including six multi-point performances.
After appearing in just one game in October, Dornbach recorded 14 points on two goals and 12 assists. He had four multi-point efforts during the month, including back-to-back three-assist efforts to close out the month against Cornell and Colgate, respectively.
Hanson, a sophomore, led the nation in both save percentage (.972) and GAA (0.97) during his three starts in net last month, posting an undefeated 2-0-1 mark. Two of those games came in the annual Friendship Four tournament in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where Hanson made 70 combined saves against Yale and Boston University, leading the Dutchmen to the tournament title and earning MVP honors.
