Trailing 3-1 early in the second, St. Cloud State rattled off goals by Nolan Walker, Patrick Newell and Jimmy Schuldt to rally for a 4-3 victory, handing Denver (5-1-1) its first loss.
There remains no unbeaten teams in NCAA Division 1 men’s hockey.
Walker finished the game with two goals, scoring the only goal for the Huskies in the first. That tally was sandwiched between goals by Cole Guttman and Brett Stapley.
When Emilio Pettersen scored early in the second, it appeared Denver might be on its way to remaining the only team without a loss.
But the potent Huskies offense exploded with three goals in less than 16 minutes.
Goaltender David Hrenak made eight saves in the third and 21 total to earn the win.
No. 14 Michigan 2, No. 6 Notre Dame 1
Difficult times continue for Notre Dame after falling 2-1 to Michigan on Friday. It was the fourth loss in five games for the Fighting Irish after taking over the top spot in the USCHO.com poll.
Matt Hellickson gave Notre Dame the lead early in the second, but Michigan responded quickly with goals from Jake Slater and Nick Pastujov in a span of 3:41.
Michigan dominated the third, outshooting the Irish, 16-2, in the frame to close things out.
Arizona State 5, Michigan State 4
The host Sun Devils scored three times in less than 16 minutes to overcome a 3-2 deficit before holding on for a 5-4 win over Michigan State. The win is the second straight for independent Arizona State team over a Big Ten opponent.
After ASU jumped to a 2-0 lead early in the second, Michigan State scored three time in 6:02 on goals by Jerad Rosburg, Tommy Apap, and Taro Hirose.
But Arizona State matched that three goal outburst with a Filips Buncis goal late in the second and tallies from Jordan Sandhu and Brett Gruber midway through the third.

No. 15 Northeastern 3, Connecticut 2
No. 15 Northeastern avoided an upset on home ice, rallying from 2-1 down entering the third to tie the game on the power play before Brandon Hawkins scored with 1:14 remaining in regulation to earn a 3-2 win in the battle of the Huskies.

Zach Solow scored with 8:43 remaining after UConn took back-to-back penalties to give Northeastern a 5-on-3 power play. Goaltender Cayden Primeau picked up an assist on the tying goal.
No. 8 Penn State 7, Robert Morris 2
Penn State bounced from a loss to Arizona State to explode for seven goals, earning a 7-2 win over in-state rival Robert Morris.
Nikita Pavlychek paced the offense with two goals and two assists. Seven different Nittany Lions players had multi-point games.
