Notre Dame’s Oglevie forgoes senior season, signs two-year deal with Sabres

Notre Dame junior forward Andrew Oglevie has signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Buffalo Sabres, giving up his final year of collegiate eligibility.

Oglevie has led the Irish in goals the last two seasons, finishing second on the team in points in 2017-18 with 15 goals and 24 assists for 39 points.

He was named to both the Frozen Four and NCAA East Regional All-Tournament teams after tying for the team lead in points during four NCAA tournament games (three goals, five assists).

During his sophomore season, Oglevie was Notre Dame’s most improved player, recording 21 goals and 20 assists for 41 points.

He finishes his Irish career playing in 107 games over three seasons with 41 goals and 48 assists for 89 points, with nine game-winning goals.
