ROCHESTER, N.Y. — In one of the most remarkable finishes in recent Atlantic Hockey playoff history, the Sacred Heart Pioneers staved off elimination by tying the RIT Tigers late in the third period, and then coming up with the game winner after nearly 43 minutes of overtime hockey. Austin McIlmurray’s goal with just 1:06 left sent the game to overtime where Jackson Barliant’s goal at 2:19 of the third overtime period kept the Pioneers’ season alive. Myles Powell’s two goals led the offensive attack for the Tigers while Barliant’s two goals helped the Pioneers snag the victory.
