SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — Colgate freshmen Trevor Cosgrove scored with 46 seconds left in regulation to help the Raiders salvage a 1-1 tie at Union Friday night.
Sophomore goalie Colton point made 21 saves for Colgate. It was his first game since Feb. 3.
Ryan Scarfo’s goal gave Union a 1-0 lead 18:16 into the second period. The Dutchmen’s lead held until Cosgrove blasted a shot past Jake Kupsky (24 saves) to tie the game in the final minute of regulation.
The tie puts Colgate in sixth place heading into the final games of the regular season. The Raiders have a two-point lead for home ice.
Union had already clinched a bye entering the weekend, but is now assured of being the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.
