Jimmy Schuldt scored 35 seconds into the 3-on-3 overtime to give the visiting Huskies two out of a possible three standings points. The two points also clinched a top-four finish for the NCHC-leading Huskies and home ice in the playoffs.
SCSU’s Mika Ilvonen scored the first and last goal of the game, with his second hittting the twine in the final minute to force overtime. Schuldt also scored twice. Aidan Muir scored twice to pace Western Michigan.
