Trey deGraaf’s second goal of the season was the difference-maker in getting Alaska-Anchorage’s second win of the season, as the Seawolves (2-16-4, 2-11-3-3 WCHA) held on to defeat Alabama-Huntsville, 2-1. The Chargers (8-16-2, 7-11-2-1 WCHA) started off on the right foot, as Connor Merkley opened the scoring just 48 seconds into the game. Alaska-Anchorage fought back, however, as Alex Jackstadt tied the game at the 12:43 mark of the first. The Seawolves outshot the Chargers, 25-17, through two periods; however, the final shot totals were 29-29. Alaska-Anchorage only mustered four shots in the third period. With under 13 minutes to play, deGraaf put the puck behind Chargers netminder Jordan Uhelski, giving the Seawolves the lead. At the other end of the ice, Olivier Mantha shut the door on the Alabama-Huntsville offense, helping UAA hold on for the win.
