NCAA trio part of gold medal-winning Canadian World Junior contingent

A trio of NCAA standouts won gold at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship as Canada downed Sweden 3-1 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y., on Friday night.

The three players on Canada’s squad include defensemen Cale Makar (UMass) and Dante Fabbro (Boston University) and goalie Colton Point (Colgate).

Makar was named to the media all-star team as well.
